• In the 24 September 2026 snapshot of the Israel Tech Hiring Index, Israeli tech companies had 131 open marketing roles, 3.2% of 4,120 open tech roles, spread across 74 companies.
  • Growth (30 roles), product marketing (25) and content marketing (19) lead demand. SEO is a standalone sub-function in only 5 roles, yet AI, GEO or SEO already appears in 13 marketing job titles.
  • Marketing hiring skews senior: 54.2% of open marketing roles carry a manager-level title or above, against 14.0% of all tech roles, and only 2 of the 131 are intern or junior positions.

If you hire marketers in Israeli tech, recruit for a startup or cover the market, you have probably tried to size marketing demand from LinkedIn and got noise: reposted ads, agency listings and roles that closed weeks ago.

Content Managers built the Israel Tech Hiring Index to count open roles directly on companies’ own career boards. Every number in this article comes from the index snapshot taken on 24 September 2026. The live index updates daily, so the figures on the index page will have moved by the time you read this.

As of October 2026, this is our first full breakdown of the marketing slice, based on original data we collect and classify ourselves.

How many marketing jobs are open in Israeli tech?

On 24 September 2026, Israeli tech companies had 131 open marketing roles, 3.2% of the 4,120 open roles the index counted. Marketing ranks ninth of 13 functions. Engineering leads with 1,939 roles (47% of the market), followed by Data & AI with 446, Product with 329, Operations with 238, IT & Security with 235, Finance with 207, Customer with 165 and Sales with 150. For every open marketing role, there are almost 15 open engineering roles.

Of the 280 companies hiring that day, 74 (about a quarter) had at least one open marketing role, and 42 of those had exactly one. Geography is concentrated: 108 of the 131 roles (82%) are in Tel Aviv and the center, 6 in Haifa and the north, 4 in Jerusalem, 4 in the Sharon area, 2 list several regions and 7 give no location. By employer sector, 59 roles (45%) sit in software, cloud and AI companies, 25 in media, gaming and advertising, 15 in cyber and intelligence, 9 in banking, fintech and insurance, and 8 in IT services.

Which marketing roles are Israeli tech companies hiring for?

Growth and product marketing lead with 55 roles combined, 42% of all open marketing roles, and content marketing is third with 19. The index assigns each role a sub-function from its job title, so the table reflects how the companies themselves frame the job.

Sub-function Open roles Share of marketing roles
Growth 30 22.9%
Product Marketing 25 19.1%
Content Marketing 19 14.5%
Marketing Operations 17 13.0%
Performance Marketing 15 11.5%
Brand & Creative 14 10.7%
SEO 5 3.8%
Events & Field Marketing 3 2.3%
Communications / PR 3 2.3%

The pattern favors roles tied directly to numbers. Growth, performance marketing and marketing operations add up to 62 roles, almost half the market. SEO as a standalone title appears in only 5 roles, which understates the work, since search often sits inside growth and content roles, and someone doing what an SEO manager does may carry a growth title in Israeli startups.

Are there entry-level marketing jobs in Israeli tech?

Almost none: the snapshot held one intern role and one junior role in marketing, 1.5% of marketing openings, against 3.6% across all tech roles. At the other end, 71 marketing roles (54.2%) carry a manager-level title or above, compared with 14.0% of all open tech roles.

Seniority (classified from job title) Marketing roles
Manager 58
Mid 37
Lead / Staff 13
Director 11
Senior 8
VP 2
Intern 1
Junior 1

Read the manager figure with care. Seniority comes from the job title, and in marketing “Marketing Manager” often describes an individual contributor with no reports. The accurate phrasing is that more than half of open marketing roles carry a manager-level title or above. The gap against the wider market is still large. Our reading: Israeli tech companies want marketers who can own a channel or a function from day one, and very few are opening roles designed for training people in.

Which Israeli tech companies are hiring the most marketers?

Wix leads with 6 open marketing roles out of 35 total openings, followed by six companies with 4 each: Elbit Systems, Helfy, HiBob, Moon Active, Sidelines Group and Sunflower. The 16 companies with three or more open marketing roles hold 57 roles between them, 43.5% of all marketing openings.

Company Marketing roles All open roles Marketing share
Wix 6 35 17%
Elbit Systems 4 536 under 1%
Helfy 4 9 44%
HiBob 4 19 21%
Moon Active 4 27 15%
Sidelines Group 4 7 57%
Sunflower 4 27 15%
365Scores 3 7 43%
AutoDS 3 5 60%
Check Point 3 93 3%
Lemonade 3 24 13%
Lusha 3 9 33%
Plus500 3 15 20%
Port 3 10 30%
Scaleops 3 31 10%
Sett 3 15 20%

At Elbit Systems, four marketing roles are under 1% of 536 openings, while at smaller companies marketing is a central part of the current hiring plan. Among companies with at least five open roles, the most marketing-heavy mixes belong to AutoDS (60%), Sidelines Group (57%), Helfy (44%), 365Scores (43%), Lusha (33%) and Port (30%), followed by SciPlay with 2 of 7 (29%) and Wonderful with 2 of 8 (25%).

Are AI and GEO showing up in marketing job titles?

Yes. 13 of the 131 marketing job titles name AI, GEO or SEO, and two name GEO explicitly. Fiverr is hiring a Director of SEO/GEO, and Mobileye has a temporary Marketing Specialist role covering content, SEO and GEO.

Wix has two AI roles for Base44: an AI Growth Marketer and an Experienced AI Product Marketing Manager. Arpeely is hiring an AI Growth Builder and a Senior AI Growth Builder, Helfy an AI Content Creator for video and campaigns, HiBob a Senior Paid Acquisition Manager for AI Infrastructure & Growth, Lusha an AI and Knowledge Manager as a maternity leave replacement, and Nvidia a Senior Developer Relations Manager for AI Security. On the classic search side, AutoDS is hiring a Senior SEO Manager, and Sidelines Group an SEO Project Manager and an SEO Team Lead.

For anyone still asking what GEO is, these titles give the practical answer: companies now write it into the job title, next to SEO, as one marketer’s area of ownership. The “AI Growth Builder” titles point to a second shift, a role that blends marketing, tool building and work with AI models.

How does the index count marketing roles?

The index counts roles published on companies’ own job boards: 293 boards are tracked, and 280 companies had open roles in the 24 September 2026 snapshot. Each role is classified from its title by function, sub-function and seniority, and tagged by region and sector.

Three caveats apply. The collection method was updated on 18 September 2026, and the rise in counts since then reflects better board coverage, so direct comparisons with earlier figures are unreliable. The daily count carries a deviation of roughly 4-5%. Roles advertised only through agencies or third-party job sites fall outside the count, so actual demand is likely somewhat higher.

Frequently asked questions

How many marketing jobs are open in Israeli tech?

The 24 September 2026 snapshot of the Israel Tech Hiring Index counted 131 open marketing roles, 3.2% of 4,120 open tech roles in Israel. They were spread across 74 companies, and 82% were based in Tel Aviv and the center. The index updates daily, so check the live page for the current figure before quoting it.

What is the most in-demand marketing role in Israeli tech?

Growth is the most in-demand marketing sub-function, with 30 of 131 open roles, followed by product marketing with 25 and content marketing with 19. Marketing operations (17) and performance marketing (15) complete the top five. Growth, performance and marketing operations together make up almost half of demand, so most openings are tied directly to growth metrics.

Can you get a junior marketing job in Israeli tech?

It is very hard right now. The snapshot held one intern role and one junior role out of 131 marketing openings, 1.5%, compared with 3.6% across all tech roles. More than half of marketing roles carry a manager-level title or above. Candidates looking for a first role need a portfolio or proven results in a specific channel.

Are Israeli companies hiring for GEO?

Yes, in small numbers. In the 24 September 2026 snapshot, two marketing roles named GEO in the title: Fiverr’s Director of SEO/GEO and a temporary content, SEO and GEO specialist role at Mobileye. In total, 13 marketing titles named AI, GEO or SEO. It is an early sign that visibility in AI answers is becoming a defined job responsibility.

How often is the Israel Tech Hiring Index updated?

The index updates daily from companies’ own job boards, 293 of them as of the snapshot used here. This article freezes the data at 24 September 2026 so the analysis stays consistent. The daily count carries a deviation of roughly 4-5%, and the collection method changed on 18 September 2026, so comparisons with earlier periods are imprecise.

What does the data mean for marketers and hiring managers?

Israeli tech is hiring experienced marketers who can own a whole function, mostly in growth, product marketing and content, and it leaves very little room for first jobs. For marketers, the strongest position belongs to anyone who can show impact on numbers. The 13 titles naming AI, GEO or SEO are still a minority of 131, and they are where the Israeli tech marketer’s job description is changing first.
